Pakistan Buckles Under India’s Pressure, To Release Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman

Pakistan has finally bucked under pressure and will release Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman on March 1. This was announced by Pakistan PM Imran Khan.

Abhinandan Varthaman is in Pakistan’s custody after his MiG-21 Bison got hit by Pakistanis in Pakistan occupied Kashmir following an engagement with Pakistani Air Force jets violating Indian airspace.

On February 27, MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar briefed the media about the Pakistani Air Force’s aggression and India’s response. He said Pakistan is using its air force to target Indian military installations, but was unsuccessful. He said in an aerial engagement, a MiG-21 Bison shot down one Pakistan Air Force jet, but India lost one MiG 21.
