The prolific Indian spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, has become a social media star as he remains active on all social platforms amid the nationwide lockdown due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Chahal recently shared a screenshot on his Instagram story in which Martin Guptill, the Kiwi opener, had sent a message in Hindi language that he found appropriate as far as his limited understanding was concerned. However, that’s not the case when it comes down to reality.
Recently, Chahal hilariously shared a screenshot of his chat with Martin Guptill on his story where the Kiwi opener had typed a message, “How are you G@&$u?.” Chahal took a screenshot of the same and shared it on his Instagram story through his official handle with a reply, “@martyguptill31 come again bro.”
It all started when Team India went on a tour to New Zealand earlier this year in January. While the visitors managed a whitewash against the hosts in the shorter format, they were thrashed by the same opponent in the Test and ODI series. Amidst that, an incident had occurred on the field during the 2nd T20I that was probably unforgettable for any Indian fan.
After India had registered an emphatic win against Black Caps by seven wickets in 2nd T20I game of the five-match series, both the teams were involved in a customary handshake as a tradition that is followed after the conclusion of the game. During that period, Yuzvendra Chahal took the mic in his hands for his famous chat show ‘Chahal TV’, where he generally interviews Indian cricketers. However, on that day he decided to have a chat with Martin Guptill but the New Zealand opener was busy speaking to Rohit Sharma, the Indian vice-captain and former Mumbai Indians teammate. Chahal did not wait for their conversation to end and decided to barge in to which the Kiwi star responded with “Kya be G***u?” leaving everyone including Rohit and Chahal in splits. Guptill, might have thought it as a good word that led to such an embarrassing cum hilarious instance at the end of the game.
